Thanks for reminding me. I didn't realize that Cowper was friends with John Newton. To realise we have absolutely nothing and to know that we have only one place to cling, to Him and His promises - so painful at the time, but as Petra said above, "God does all things well because He has eternity in view". Much love to you and your newly extended family ♥Diana Lovegrovehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14849754637056012241noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7606804930984062705.post-852063656670882512012-02-11T22:38:19.414+00:002012-02-11T22:38:19.414+00:00Touching post Diana. Being afflicted with severe clinical depression or anxiety sure reminds us that we are but poor dust - and that's really not such a bad thing. <br />Love & Blessings.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7606804930984062705.post-3788298746322308712012-02-11T19:10:06.612+00:002012-02-11T19:10:06.612+00:00"God does all things well because He has eter..."God does all things well because He has eternity in view". It is so strange that hearing of other saints struggling with despair can be an encouragement." I thank God that He uses even such harrowing despair to encourage us and others. God does all things well because He has eternity in view, while we tend to view only the present sufferings. Thank you for these your encouraging thoughts!
